Kenseth’s outburst not that surprising
Brian Hunsicker
Sep 29, 2006
Lots of folks seemed surprised that Matt Kenseth showed some emotion at Dover. With the dominant car of the field, crew chief Robbie Reiser gambled on fuel mileage.
The gamble didn’t pay off, and Kenseth didn’t hesitate to tell the world how he felt.
How I’d change the Nextel Cup schedule

Next up on the Nextel Cup schedule is Kansas, one of NASCAR’s newest jewels of a track. Like its sister track outside of Chicago, Kansas is a 1.5-mile, moderately-banked oval that hosted its first race in 2001.
It’s another 1.5-mile, moderately-banked oval on a circuit full of them. For better or worse, it’s Cup’s version of a par-4.

UPDATED 2:50 p.m.
A woman was killed in a two-car, head-on collision after driving in the wrong direction on Dale Boulevard around 10 a.m. today, said 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn, Prince William police spokeswoman.
The woman turned left out of a McDonald’s parking lot driving northbound in the southbound lanes of Dale Boulevard at about 45 mph, according to witnesses.
In spite of warnings from other drivers, witnesses said the woman continued driving on the wrong side of the road until she hit a van.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the van was transported to an area hospital.
Southbound lanes of Dale Boulevard were closed for about two hours because of the crash.

Maybe Chase is beyond a tweak; ARCA lowers the boom on brawlers
Brian Hunsicker
Sep 26, 2006
Back from Idaho, where I tried to catch snippets of the weekend in Dover, nearly a continent away. I heard Tony Stewart loud and clear, though, as he complained about the Chase and its setup.
After collecting championship contender Kasey Kahne in an early wreck at Dover, Stewart felt terrible about the wreck and then went on to espouse about the Chase at large.

By KEITH WALKER
Four men were arrested Saturday for circulating counterfeit $100 bills in Manassas, said U.S. Secret Service Washington field office spokesman Ronald Perea.
Manassas City Manager Larry Hughes announced the arrests in the Manassas City Council meeting Monday night, but Manassas police would not discuss the incident Tuesday saying they would release information about the counterfeiting on Wednesday.
Perea did not give the names, ages or addresses of the men who were arrested, but said they were “not juveniles.”
